Above and beyond for children with cancer
For nearly 50 years, we’ve been making life better for families facing childhood cancer in the East Midlands.
We understand that cancer is traumatic, exhausting and completely life-changing for the whole family. That’s why we don’t just support your seriously ill child, we look after brothers and sisters, mum and dad too.
We’ve made it our mission to go above and beyond to protect childhood and family life from the devastating effects of cancer. We support over 500 families a year. We get to know each family individually to give them the personalised support that’s right for them.
Our compassionate team know how to guide families through the ordeal of childhood cancer. We relieve stress at crucial times, ease financial worries, and find the solutions that keep family life afloat.
We believe every family should have this vital support. It creates space to breathe and live life, beyond the trauma of cancer.
At Pasic, we work closely with social workers, play specialists, nursing teams and clinicians across the East Midlands Children and Young People’s Integrated Cancer Service. Together, we make sure families receive the support they need throughout their child’s cancer treatment.
We also team up with organisations such as Young Lives vs Cancer and Teenage Cancer Trust. This collaboration helps us share knowledge and offer families support tailored to their individual needs.
We are a member of the Children and Young People’s Cancer Coalition – a group of more than 40 charities working to improve the lives of children and young people with cancer. The coalition brings organisations together to speak up on issues that matter, share expertise and strengthen the support available for families.
Pasic receives no statutory funding, so we rely on the generosity of our supporters, along with grants from trusts, foundations and organisations such as Children in Need and The National Lottery. Their support enables us to be there for families whenever they need us.
